Apple Modernizes Connectivity, Phases Out USB-A Ports

Apple’s forthcoming M4 Mac mini is set to undergo a significant design change, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The updated models will eliminate the traditional USB-A ports in favor of multiple USB-C ports, ensuring compatibility with the latest peripherals. Additionally, the Mac mini will feature an Ethernet port, HDMI output, and a headphone jack, catering to diverse connectivity needs. Both the standard and Pro versions of the M4 Mac mini are anticipated to ship between September and October, complete with an internal power supply.

In another development, Apple is reportedly working on a more affordable version of its Magic Keyboard, aimed at users of entry-level iPads or iPad Airs. This budget-friendly keyboard is expected to launch by mid-next year, offering a cost-effective accessory option for Apple’s tablet lineup.
